About

The Open Educational Resources (OER) initiative by National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) is a platform which provides free, high-quality educational materials to learner community across India. Our main purpose is to make education accessible, inclusive, and equitable by removing barriers related to cost, location, and availability of resources. The goal of the OER database is to bridge the gap between information-rich and information-poor learners; its main targets is to fulfil the needs of school students, teachers, librarians and parents. Under the project, we have more than 3000 + resources, which includes e-textbooks, storybooks, novels, poems, audio/video lectures and many more with 24x7 availability, which make it learning flexible and convenient.

Our mission is to promote open learning, encourage self-paced education, and support teachers in enhancing classroom practices through innovative and technology enabled resources. By leveraging digital platforms, NCERT OER strives to bridge the digital divide and empower learners with knowledge anytime, anywhere.
